Lock & Key Property Inspections (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit lockandkeypi.com, contact us, book an inspection, download resources, or pay for services (collectively, the “Services”).

  • Contact details (name, email, phone, address) when you inquire, request a quote, or book.

  • Property details (inspection address, access notes, timeframe, agent info).

  • Payment info when you pay online (processed by our payment providers—see “Sharing” below).

  • Emails/opt-ins when you request resources (e.g., The Smart Buyer’s Inspection Guide) or join our list.

  • Reviews or testimonials you choose to submit.

  • Customer support communications.

b) Information collected automatically

  • Device & usage: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, time on site, referring pages/links.

  • Cookies & similar tech to keep the site secure, remember preferences, and understand site traffic. See “Cookies” below.

c) Information from third parties (when you use them)

  • Scheduling tools (e.g., Calendly or Wix Bookings): appointment details and contact info.

  • Payment processors (Wix Payments, Apple Pay/Google Pay, PayPal): payment confirmations and status (we do not store full card numbers).

  • HomeBinder: When we set up your digital home binder, we may share your name, email, and relevant property/report information to create your account. For more information on the privacy policy for HomeBinder, please refer to their website, since we are not responsible for the actions of other companies' use of your information. 

2) How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, schedule, and complete inspections and ancillary services.

  • Send confirmations, reports, and follow-ups.

  • Deliver requested resources (e.g., guide PDF) and helpful updates.

  • Improve our website and Services, including security and performance.

  • Communicate about promotions or offers (you can opt out anytime).

  • Comply with law, prevent fraud, and protect our rights and users.

Marketing emails: We only send them if you’ve opted in or if they relate to a service you requested. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of any email.

3) Legal bases (where applicable)

For visitors in the EU/UK (if any), we rely on: contract (to provide services), consent (for marketing/cookies), legitimate interests (site analytics, security), and legal obligation.

4) Sharing & disclosures

We share information with:

  • Service providers (Wix, Wix Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay/Google Pay, email service provider, scheduling platform, analytics tools) to operate the site and process transactions.

  • HomeBinder to create your digital home binder account and enable reminders and document storage.

  • Contractors/vendors when you ask us to refer or connect you (only with your direction).

  • Legal/Compliance when required by law, to protect our rights, or to investigate fraud or security issues.
    We do not sell personal information.5) Cookies & similar technologies

  • Analytics cookies : used to measure site use and improve content (e.g., Wix Analytics; Google Analytics if enabled).
